The Houston Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in the evening. The accident happened in the 7000 block of Waxahachie St at Boyles St intersection.

According to the police, a white SUV was travelling quickly east on Waxahachie. The SUV struck a power pole before continuing through the intersection’s stop sign and colliding with a black four-door vehicle that was travelling north on Boyles Street.

A man and a woman died at the scene, according to Hatcher. A 12-year-old was also brought to the hospital with injuries and is anticipated to be alright. The identity of the victims is not yet known.

After complaining of pain, the suspected driver was detained and taken to the hospital. According to Hatcher, there were signs of impairment. The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
