Thieves in Houston messed with the wrong lawn care provider when they allegedly swiped equipment from his truck last weekend. He was armed with a weed wacker at the time, and he wasn't afraid to use it.

Deputies were called to a neighborhood in Houston, Texas on Saturday, March 30 after reports of an aggravated robbery. Officials say that four suspects in two separate vehicles allegedly stole several pieces of the gardener's equipment out of his truck as he worked nearby.

Video from the altercation with the robbery suspects shows the man working on a yard when something catches his eye off camera - presumably the suspects stealing his equipment. He starts making his way towards them when two cars pull into view.

It's the suspects attempting to make off with his equipment. Little did they know they messed with a guy with a brass set. Before the second vehicle is able to make it out of the neighborhood, the gardener throws his weed wacker at the car's windshield.

The car comes to a stop and one of the suspects makes a less than graceful exit from the vehicle. It's unclear what happened when he jumped out, but he didn't immediately make it to his feet. As he tried to gather himself in the street, the hero lawn care worker with balls of steel retrieved his weed wacker.

These Thieves Stole From The Wrong Weed Wacker Equipped Gardener

The thief's partners in crime have pulled off by now, and he's left in the street to go toe-to-toe with an angry man packing a weed wacker. He's struggling to make a getaway and takes the weed wacker to the face before eventually regaining control of his legs and making it back to the car he fell out of.

Deputies say that the suspects tried to hit the gardener with their car and were accused of displaying a firearm during the exchange. The suspect who got up close and personal with the weed wacker was later identified as Jarrell Alexander.

He was taken to the hospital after the incident by friends and that's where police caught up with him. He was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

Alexander was then booked into the Harris County Jail on $50,000 bond. Police are still looking for the other suspects.

Wherever the other suspects are, they're most likely not messing around with a guy doing yard work with a weed wacker. Assuming, of course, that they all learned a lesson from their buddy Jerrell's interaction with the weed wacker-wielding gardener.
