United Airlines is expanding its Houston hub with a record-setting 'United Club' lounge at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The 54,000-square-foot lounge, which holds 800 guests, is the largest airline lounge in the Americas and offers a larger space for passengers to sit, eat or take calls before boarding. The opening also deepens United's footprint in Houston, where the airline operates seven lounge facilities across the airport. The lounge was designed as a crowd-management tool and a loyalty perk.
