Southeast Texas stays warm and dry ahead of Tuesday rains
Southeast Texas will experience warm and dry conditions through the weekend while meteorologists monitor subtropical storm Josephine in the Atlantic and potential hurricane Vance in the Pacific. High pressure continues to keep southeast Texas warm and dry, with highs reaching mid to upper 80s. An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Harris, Brazoria and Galveston counties. Another named storm in the Atlantic, Subtropical Storm Josephine, is expected to become a powerful extratropical cyclone. There is also a new named storm named Vance in the Pacific, which can potentially become a major hurricane by Saturday. Two areas of interest are also being monitored due to low chances of development.
