United Airlines Opens 22-Gate Houston Terminal B Concourse
The redevelopment gives United room for larger aircraft and adds an 800-seat club at its Houston hub. United Airlines (UA) has opened its new Terminal B North Concourse at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), bringing in 22 gates designed for mainline narrow-body aircraft to its Houston hub. The three-level facility replaces infrastructure dating to 1969 and is part of the US$2.6bn Terminal B Transformation Program. All flights from the new North Concourses board through jet bridges. United's initial plan for 40 gates in November 2023 had called for 40, including 18 South gates converted from 30 smaller regional-jet positions. The new North concourse also features a 54,000-square-foot United Club with 800 seats and outdoor terrace.
