Giants should send Malik Nabers at Houston's weakened middle
Houston ruled out two safeties, giving the Giants a reason to move Malik Nabers around and test the communication behind the corners. The New York Giants are considering using Malik Nabers against Houston's weakened middle, particularly as the Texans are without safeties Reed Blankenship and Jalen Pitre. The Giants should use motion, stacks and selected inside releases to make Houston communicate about Nabers. Nabers has 41 catches for 494 yards through six games, which justifies making him a central part of the preparation. This strategy could be tested with J.J. McCarthy starting for the first time as a Giants player, allowing the defense to declare more before the snap. If the Texans communicate cleanly and take away Nabers, the Giants can adjust from actual responses.
