Less chances for rain are expected tomorrow as we shift into a drier pattern later in the week. The National Hurricane Center is monitoring two potential areas of tropical development in the Atlantic basin, with heavy rainfall expected over the panhandle of Florida.

HOUSTON (CW39) – The summer-like pattern of warm afternoons with isolated scattered storms continues for us today and tomorrow before turning drier this weekend. Temperatures are in the middle 70s this morning throughout town, Galveston being the exception – a bit warmer along the coastline with temps in the 80s at 6 a.m.
During the afternoon we will see an increase in thunderstorm and shower activity as these breeze starts acting as a trigger.
Late this evening – activity starts to diminish and less chances for rain set in tomorrow as we shift into a drier pattern for later in the week.
Highs rise to near 90 today. Depending on the placement and timing of storms however, most of us may be limited to the upper 80s as our max temp. Lows tonight fall back into the middle 70s under clearing skies.
The National Hurricane Center is highlighting two potential areas of tropical development. In the Atlantic basin, a disorganized cluster of storms will provide heavy rainfall over the panhandle of Florida before any further development off the coast of the eastern sea board.
