Voters are leaving “I Voted" stickers at Lorenzo Salgado Araujo’s Houston memorial as recent ICE encounters draw scrutiny. Houston voters are leaving "I Voted" stickers at a memorial for Lorenzo Salgado Araujo at a makeshift memorial in the city of Lorenzo Salado Arauko. The stickers were left as a way to express solidarity with the community and support for Salgado Arraujo's family. This comes as authorities investigate another incident involving an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Harris County, which has led to scrutiny of recent immigration enforcement encounters in the Houston area. The officer was placed on administrative leave as standard practice for use-of-force incidents while an internal investigation proceeds. The incidents have raised questions about the intended target being Jose Mendoza-Cervantes, who was taken into ICE custody and taken to a hospital after complaining of pain.
