O'Rourke calls ICE tactics "Gestapo" at Houston rally — Day 105 with no charges for agent
ICE still hasn't charged agent Gregory Feathers for Lorenzo Salgado's death. 105 days later, Sanders and O'Rourke rallied in Houston to name it. Beto O'Rourke, a former El Paso congressman, condemned ICE enforcement as "Gestapo tactics" during a rally at Houston's Wheeler Avenue Baptist. The rally, which was part of Sanders' "Fighting Oligarchy" campaign tour, addressed the death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, whose father was fatally shot by an immigration agent 105 days earlier. No charges have been filed against the officer or any other agent involved in the shooting. The case is being investigated by Harris County DA Sean Teare, who has approved $2.5 million over three years to fund the probe and has not cooperated with federal authorities who have not cooperatively cooperated. The event was also addressed by U.S. Rep. Greg Casar of Austin.
