Tank Dell Immediately Showed His Potential in Long-Awaited Return to the Field
The Texans’ wide receiver saw his first game action since 2024 and had a tantalizing play in the second quarter. Tank Dell returned to the field for the first time this week, performing well in a crucial game against the Giants, marking his first catch in 673 days since he suffered a severe knee injury in the Texans' loss to the Chiefs in 2024. Dell had been a reliable target for quarterback C.J. Stroud since they were rookies in 2023, recording 98 receptions for 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns over his first 25 games. After rehabbing for nearly two years, Dell made a potential game-changing play in the first half, running for a 43-yard gain. Despite this, the Texans did not score in the third quarter and did not reach the end zone again until the final minute of regulation when they notched a game-tying touchdown to force overtime. The Texans' postseason aspirations are in doubt again, falling to 2–5.
