Houston’s sensational Asian Night Market returns next month in a free outdoor street food market and live sumo wrestling
The annual Asian Night Market returns to Houston this November with a free outdoor street food market, sumo wrestling, and more. Houston's Asian and Asian American communities will host Asia Society Texas in November for a free outdoor street food market and live sumo wrestling. The annual Night Market, inspired by street markets in East and Southeast Asia, offers food, art, shopping, and live performances at an outdoor festival. The outdoor market, which is free, features a curated selection of food, home goods, art and apparel from local Asian and American vendors and artisans, and three food trucks will park on site. The festival also features an all-access beer garden, Japanese carnival games, and a karaoke booth. Indoor access costs $5 and tickets are limited (free for Asia SocietyTexas members) for limited access to the exhibition Yoshitaka Amano: Big Bang, Artists’ Alley, a Manga Café run by Houston Public Library, mahjong and a games zone. Shōgeki Sumo demonstrations require an additional $5 ticket.
