A 30-year-old Houston mother was fatally shot while visiting a bar in Dallas early Wednesday.

Police found Ricky Gossett, 37, and Danielle Jones, 30, shot around 1:20 a.m. in the 2800 block of Elm Street in Deep Ellum.

Both died at Baylor University Medical Center, according to Metro Video and authorities.

Officials say Gossett was on the patio of Bitter End bar when a suspect approached him and fired multiple shots. One of the rounds went through a window at the bar, hitting Jones who was standing inside, police said.

Authorities reported that the suspect fled north on Elm Street. He was described as a thin, 6-foot-tall Black man wearing a black hoodie with a design on the front, shorts and a ski mask.

Authorities reported that another person was injured and treated at an area hospital.

Eyewitness News reported that Jones was a Houston mother who had traveled to Dallas with her 8-year-old son for spring break.
