Game Preview: San Antonio Spurs vs. Houston Rockets
The Spurs make an early season trip to Austin for a match-up with the Texas rival Rockets The San Antonio Spurs are set to face the Houston Rockets in the second game of the 82-game regular season, following a disappointing opening night loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Houston Rockets, however, have a strong roster built around Kevin Durant, Alperen Sengun, and other young talent. The Spurs lost their opening game to the Thunder, with poor shooting and a putrid 2nd quarter where they went just 3/21 from the field. Despite this loss, Houston is looking to secure a strong position in the Western conference with the addition of Fred VanVleet, who returned from an ACL tear that cost him his season. The Rockets' three-guard line-up debut against the Thunder was mixed, with no willing 3-pt shooters and no willing shooters.
