Kyle Tucker, Travis Scott featured together on rare Topps baseball card
The Kyle Tucker and Travis Scott card is one of just two in the series that salutes baseball players and their favorite musicians. Houston rapper Travis Scott and Houston Astros right fielder Kyle Tucker have been featured together on rare Topps baseball card. The two players are one of two Signature Tunes cards in the latest edition of Topps Series 2, which highlights players' walk-up music. Tucker, who also serves as the team’s clubhouse DJ, often changes his walk-op music based on Scott's “Escape Plan” for the 2023 season, but has opted for Rich Home Quan’s “Walk Thru” this year as a tribute to Michael Brantley. Tucker is currently on the injured list due to a recent injury.

Kyle Tucker is used to seeing his likeness on baseball cards, but he was excited to get his hands on his Topps card with Travis Scott.
“You don’t see too many of those,” Tucker told the Associated Press. “You see them typically with another player or something like that, but to be on a card or baseball card with someone that kind of has a further reach outside of baseball is, I think, pretty cool.”
The Astros right fielder and Missouri City rapper are one of two Signature Tunes cards in the latest edition of Topps Series 2 with the card company highlighting players and their walk-up music. The other Signature Tune card features Yankees slugger Juan Soto and Daddy Yankee.
Tucker, who also serves as the team’s clubhouse DJ, often changes his walk-up music. He used Scott’s “Escape Plan” for a lot of the 2023 season, but has gone with Rich Home Quan’s “Walk Thru” this year as a tribute to the retired Michael Brantley, who stepped into the batter's box with the song playing throughout his Astros career.
Tucker, who is on the injured list after fouling a ball off his right shin last week, doesn’t like to switch things up when everything’s going well for him at the plate, so he may stick with Rich Home Quan for a while. The 27-year-old, who has made two straight All-Star appearances, is off to the best start of his career, hitting .266 with 19 home runs and 40 RBI in 60 games. He led all of baseball in homers as recently as May 30 before the Yankees’ Aaron Judge went on a tear to push his total to 25.
Scott is a big Houston sports fan, often attending Astros games. He took batting practice with the team before a game last season and gave the players a preview of his much-anticipated “Utopia” album before it was released that summer. Scott’s Cacti Hard Seltzer brand also bought the naming rights to the Astros' spring training ballpark in West Palm Beach, renaming the stadium Cacti Park of the Palm Beaches.
