Houston, Texas – A 29-year-old woman was killed on Monday in a two-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
The fatal crash happened around 11:00 p.m., June 10, at the intersection of Airport Boulevard and South Freeway (South Highway 288).
Police said a black Kia Optima was traveling northbound on the SH 288 service road when it struck a white Jeep Liberty, which was traveling, eastbound on Airport Blvd.
The impact caused the Jeep to hit a light pole on the east side of the intersection.
A passenger in the Jeep, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Jeep driver, a 27-year-old woman, and the Kia driver, a 27-year-old man, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
