The Texans struggle defensively again in 27-21 overtime loss to Giants
This year’s Houston Texans defense looks nothing like last year’s unit that was the NFL’s best The Houston Texans' defense struggled again in their 27-21 overtime loss to the New York Giants, dropping them to 2-5. The team's run defense was particularly poor, with the Giants gaining 188 yards rushing, led by Cam Skattebo. Last year, the Texans allowed 277.2 yards a game, increasing this to 342 yards per game. Coach DeMeco Ryans has stated that the Texans need to focus on improving their defensive performance this season. Despite this, linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair believes they have been successful in the past and believe they can turn things around.
